Are you looking for a Chef role with a difference where you can leave the kitchen behind and work in a galley onboard a vessel in Milford Sound? We are looking for a passionate foodie wanting to develop their skills to join our Milford Sound Scenic Crew.
As a Chef on board our Scenic vessels you will be responsible for preparing and serving high quality meals to customers and assisting in the efficient day-to-day galley operations on the vessels. You will also be assisting in ensuring that the galleys of the vessels are safe including the use of safe work practices and participating in emergency drills and procedures as required. You will be someone who has a passion for food quality, presentation and service and enjoys working in a team environment.
As Chef, you will be responsible for:
Working effectively as a member of the Milford catering team ensuring all passengers are provided with high quality food products while in Milford Sound
Preparing and serving high quality meals to customers
Ensuring all meals are served and presented to a high standard
Assisting in the efficient day-to-day galley operations on the vessels
Ensuring the galleys of the vessels are complying with safe work practices
Participating in emergency drills and procedures as required
We are looking for a talented chef with a range of experience. This is a full time, fixed term role until the end of April, 2020. You will be based in Milford and typically working 10 days on and 4 days off. Subsidised staff accommodation is provided in Milford.
