At 107 years old the TSS Earnslaw requires a dedicated group of staff to ensure she is looking her best, operating efficiently and our guests are having the best experience whilst on board.
One of the oldest tourist attractions in Central Otago the TSS Earnslaw is the largest commercial passenger-carrying coal-fired steamship in the southern hemisphere. With a rich history and reputation, we are looking for someone just as passionate as we are about our leading lady to lead our legendary team on board! Café staff, Engineers and Stokers, Launch Masters and Deckhands and a Store Person - you will be responsible for all crew and all operational details ensuring performance excellence across the operation.
You will look after the daily management of the TSS Earnslaw including the employment, leadership and training of the TSS Earnslaw team, monitoring and implementing product development, customer satisfaction levels and ensuring maritime safety regulations are upheld. You will be tasked with ensuring the safety, presentation and performance of this experience is of the highest standard.
As TSS Earnslaw Manager, you will be organised and methodical; someone who can come in and effectively train, lead and motivate a diverse team. You will have at least 5 years' experience in an operations or management position and will be a proactive communicator with the ability to engage with all kinds of people. Having a maritime background would give you a strong advantage.
