Nature Guide - Wild Kiwi Encounter - Stewart Island

Are you a fan of flora, fauna and all nature has to offer on Rakiura/Stewart Island?
We are looking for an outgoing character with a passion for people and the outdoors to join our Stewart Island Experience team showcasing our iconic kiwi and other wildlife to guests from all over the world.
You will be someone who can appreciate the beauty, history and cultural significance that Rakiura/Stewart Island has to offer, as you will be sharing it with just a select few people that get a chance to visit this breath-taking part of New Zealand.
You will be guiding small groups of people to Ocean Beach through native forest at night in the hopes of seeing Kiwi feeding among the grasses and seaweeds. In addition to the Wild Kiwi Encounter, you will also be responsible for delivering daytime tours to Ulva Island, Village and Bays bus tours and Guided Walks. As part of this role, you will also be the crew member on various seagoing vessels, so sea legs are a must.
You will be someone who is flexible, as during the season, the times of the product change in accordance with daylight hours. You will have outstanding communication skills, computer literacy, a focus on Health & Safety and be a kaitiaki for our environment.
