When you picture your dream job what do you see? Is your office a 12,000 year old cave? Is it being able to share our unique backyard with people from all over the world?
Real Journeys are looking for cave guides who have a passion for people and the outdoors. We're after people who can deliver exceptional commentary whilst guiding people safely above and below ground.
Your shift starts by jumping on the Luminosa, which will take you across Lake Te Anau to the caves. Whether you're crewing on the boat, guiding through the caves or working in the on-site canteen, you're sure to learn a lot and experience plenty of variety. When you're not hosting guests, you'll be ensuring the Te Anau Caves and surrounding area is presented to the highest of standards!
We're looking for people with a friendly manner, who look forward to hosting visitors from all over the globe. We need people who aren't afraid of mucking in and working hard to get the work done - during the height of the summer you may be doing long hours. Shifts will also include working weekends and evenings. You'll also need to be a team player and have great communication skills.
The current vacancies are fixed term, starting early December and working through the summer season to the end of April 2020.
What can we offer you?
Daily commute across Lake Te Anau;
The chance to experience our legendary products for free and bring along your family and friends;
Access to discounts on experiences and products across the Wayfare Group (Go Orange, Cardrona Canyon Food & Brew and the International Antarctic Centre).
If you are a motivated, strong team player who enjoys getting in and doing what's required to ensure the best experience for all customers then this is the role for you!
