We are always striving to 'Do it Better' in the Real Journeys group. We have recognised that celebrating our diversity and having a culture of inclusion will go a long way to helping us 'Play As One Team'.
The Diversity & Inclusion Council has coverage across all departments and locations and includes a lot of bright and talented people.
They met for the first time in Te Anau on the 3rd of May 2017.

After brief introductions the team were greeted with a Maori welcome from Richard Lauder, Chief Executive and inducted as D&I Council members. They proudly wear the silver leaf upon their uniform for identification and recognition.
As an outcome of the meeting the council agreed on the purpose to: 'celebrate diversity and grow opportunities for inclusion.'
'Create transparent initiatives that create a holistic and happy work environment for all Real Journeys employees which will flow on to enrich our connection with customers'.
As an outcome of the first session the council have instructed the People & Performance team to deliver the following initiatives:
